Job description

As a Forklift Operator, you’ll move pallets and other materials throughout the warehouse, support production requirements, and load/unload customer trailers. The role also involves hand‑sorting and repairing wooden pallets at certain locations, and ensures a clean, safe working environment.

Hourly Pay

$17.25/hr.

1st Shift Monday-Friday 6:00am‑2:30pm

Responsibilities

• Move sorted pallet stacks to appropriate staging areas using Relogistics forklift equipment.
• Operate forklifts with extreme care, adhering to company safety procedures at all times.
• Hand‑sort wooden pallets when required.
• Repair wooden pallets using a nail gun when required.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• 1–3 years of forklift experience.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, lumber, carpentry, welding, roofing, or construction strongly preferred.
• Willingness to work in a labor‑intensive environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Work Environment & Conditions

• Ability to work in extreme conditions, including exposure to elements, heat, cold, and airborne particulates.
• Repetitive body position adjustments: bending, stooping, walking, turning, pivoting, and sitting in a forklift for entire shifts of varying length.
• Noise level varies by location.
• Personal Protective Equipment required (eye protection, ear protection mandatory at several locations, safety shoes).
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
• Ability to lift pallets by hand, each weighing 50–75 lbs.
