Job summary

Gould Staffing / Employment Solutions is hiring a Yard Associate / Forklift Operator in Westfield, MA. The role is outdoors and requires forklift experience; you will inspect, load/unload, pick, and verify products using an ERP system and a scan gun.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM–7:00 PM. Pay: $19.00–$21.00 per hour, based on experience. Steel-toe boots and weather readiness are required; safety policies apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing, warehouse, or yard experience.
• Forklift experience preferred and certification possible.
• Ability to pass forklift certification test and work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Pick and verify products using pick lists to ensure accuracy.
• Inspect materials for quality and ensure no damaged items are shipped.
• Use a scan gun to enter information into the ERP system.
• Stage and inspect outgoing shipments.
• Load and unload flatbed trailers and containers.
• Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate yard inventory.
• Hand stack, wrap, and strap materials as needed.
• Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S principles.
• Assist with other warehouse and yard duties as assigned.

Pay

• This position is primarily outdoors, so candidates must be comfortable working in various weather conditions.
