Position Title: Forklift Operator

Wage: $20.35 - $21.57/hour

Shift: 12 Hour Days or Nights

Hours: 6:00am - 6:00pm or 6:00pm - 6:00am (2-2-3 Schedule)

QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Forklift Operator at a company in Madison, WI. This is a potential to hire position.

Forklift Operator Responsibilities:

• Operate forklift equipment to perform required duties to support production, fill customer orders and ensure consistent flow of materials both inbound and outbound
• Meet department goals for efficiency
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts
• Fill customer production orders accurately and efficiently, ensure that product is stored, received and shipped to quality standards
• Perform timely and accurate transactions to maintain the integrity of inventory systems
• Complete shift documentation/paperwork
• Maintain department equipment by performing daily checks, maintain department KPI's
• Participate in safety programs, follow all established safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE

Requirements for Forklift Operator:

• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs continuously (cases of product and hand tools)
• Ability to lift 11-30 lbs regularly (3-4 times per shift)
• Ability to lift 31-50 lbs occasionally (1-2 lbs per shift)
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, twist and stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work in warm environments
• At least three years of forklift experience
• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read, write and speak English to meet training, safety and quality requirements
• Basic math skills
• Computer and software skills
