Job summary

Pine Hall Brick is seeking a forklift operator to load, unload, transport, and stack materials at our Madison, NC facility. You will manually load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, cars or lifting devices.

Compliance with safety standards is required, and you will work with forklift equipment daily. The role includes operating shrink-wrap machines, moving brick stock to yard and warehouses, and assisting with routine cleaning.

Qualifications

• Forklift license required (will certify through Pine Hall Brick).
• 1+ year experience operating forklift preferred.
• Manufacturing environment experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to load, unload, transport, and stack materials.
• Load materials manually onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, cars or lifting devices.
• Operate or tend automatic shrink-wrap machines.
• Load materials into/out of various containers, including flatbeds.
• Perform routine cleaning and strapping of brick on yard and in warehouses.
• Follow safety rules and perform other duties as assigned by management.

• Must work safely at all times.
• Forklift license required.
• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, recharging batteries, fueling, or replacing liquefied-gas tank.
• Operate or tend automatic shrink-wrap machines.
• Ability to load materials in or onto various containers, including flatbed.
• Perform routine cleaning and strapping of brick on yard.
• Perform routine cleaning of 2 warehouses.
• Perform any other duties outlined by management.

Educational, Experience, & Skill Requirements

• Forklift license required (will certify through Pine Hall Brick).
• 1+ year experience operating forklift preferred.
• Manufacturing environment experience a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift at least 75 lbs. regularly.
• Must be able to twist, stoop, climb and bend regularly.
• Steel toe shoes required.
