Job summary

Land Pride, a division of Great Plains Manufacturing, is seeking a 1st Shift Forklift Operator to join our Lucas, KS facility. You will move parts safely to staging areas, verify part IDs, and support inventory accuracy on a Monday–Thursday schedule with overtime on Fridays.

Ideal candidates have forklift license or ability to obtain one, experience operating a forklift, and strong communication skills. You will work with other departments and follow all safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Must have forklift license or ability to obtain one.
• Experience operating a forklift safely.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Understand team concepts and be a strong team player.
• Able to excel in fast-paced, high-pressure situations.
• Able to read blueprints, tape measures, and read calipers.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe movement of parts to staging areas.
• Ensure correct part identification and delivery to correct location to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Complete preventative maintenance on all equipment used.
• Ensure paperwork from vendors is accurate.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Flexibility to work with other departments and operate other equipment.
• Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment.
• Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.

Forklift Operator – 1st Shift

Land Pride, a division of Great Plains Manufacturing, is seeking a 1st Shift Forklift Operator to join our Material Handling team at our facility in Lucas, KS.

This position works Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays, as required.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Provide safe movement of parts to required staging areas or locations.
• Ensure correct part identification and delivery to correct location is a must to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Complete preventative maintenance on all equipment used.
• Ensure paperwork from vendors is accurate.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Flexibility to work with other departments and operate other equipment.
• Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment.
