Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move product safely throughout the facility.

• Perform pre- and post-shift forklift inspections and report issues.

Forklift Operator

Location: Locust Grove, GA

Pay Rate: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move product safely throughout the distribution center, including receiving docks, storage areas, and shipping staging zones
• Load and unload inbound and outbound trailers efficiently and accurately, coordinating with the shipping and receiving team to maintain daily throughput targets
• Transport palletized product to designated storage locations within the facility using proper stacking and securing techniques
• Perform pre‑shift and post‑shift equipment inspections on all assigned forklifts, documenting findings and reporting any mechanical issues to maintenance immediately
• Maintain accurate inventory movement records by scanning product and updating the warehouse management system as required
• Support cycle count and physical inventory processes as directed by inventory control and facility management
• Keep all operating areas clear of hazards and maintain compliance with OSHA forklift safety standards and facility‑specific safety protocols at all times
• Collaborate with warehouse associates and team leads to ensure smooth, coordinated product flow throughout the facility
• Operate at a pace and accuracy level that consistently meets or exceeds established productivity benchmarks
• Assist with general warehouse tasks during periods of lower lift activity as directed by supervisors

Requirements

• Current, valid forklift certification required – sit‑down and/or stand‑up forklift experience required
• Minimum of 1 year of verifiable forklift operation experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated commitment to forklift safety with a clean or explainable equipment operation history
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment while maintaining accuracy and safety standards
• Physical ability to sit in a forklift for extended periods, as well as stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds when performing non‑lift tasks
• Basic computer and scanning system proficiency for inventory management purposes
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cooperatively with associates, leads, and management
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
