Job description

Nesco Resource has openings for a Forklift Operator in the Lebanon Junction area. This is a 3rd shift position, Mon-Fri, 11PM-7AM.

Job Summary:

The Forklift Operator 2 will operate a forklift equipped with various lifting devices to move raw materials, in-process products, finished goods, and equipment within a warehouse, storage yard, or factory.

Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Operate forklifts, overhead rail cranes, or rail car movers such as Trackmobile. Load and unload semi-trailers and materials onto or off pallets or skids. Perform safety checks and participate in special projects as assigned.
2. Maintain accurate inventory using a materials management system, report discrepancies, and control inventory.
3. Lubricate forklift, recharge batteries, refuel, or replace liquefied-gas tanks.
4. Organize storage space and move materials efficiently within the warehouse.

Basic Qualifications:

1. Proficient in controlling forklifts and clamp trucks, with skills exceeding those of Hoist Operator 1.
2. Ability to operate forklifts in narrow aisles, ramps, and loading areas, with good spatial awareness.
3. Understanding of forklift load capacities and the ability to assess load stability and clearance requirements.
4. Knowledge of warehouse layout for efficient item placement.
5. Skill in maneuvering forklifts in confined spaces.

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to exert force of 20-50 pounds occasionally, 10-25 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly.
2. Frequent reaching upward, prolonged sitting, exposure to vibration, and loud environments.
