Job summary

Deutsche Post's DHL Supply Chain is seeking a Forklift Operator for a weekend day shift. You will move stock, load and unload shipments, and operate stand-up, sit-down, or clamp forklifts and pallet jacks in a fast-paced warehouse.

The role requires RF scanning, Reach Truck and forklift experience, English proficiency, and will include on-site training in Mechanicsburg during the first week. Weekend work with a competitive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• RFScanner experience and forklift operation skills are required.
• Minimum 6 months experience with Reach Truck and with Dock Stocker or Counterbalance forklift.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Willingness to train during first week in Mechanicsburg.

Responsibilities

• Move stock within the warehouse and load/unload shipments.
• Operate various forklifts or power equipment safely.
• Maintain accurate records and inventory integrity.
• Follow OSHA/MSDS standards and report variances.
• Assist in physical inventories and keep equipment in good condition.

The core responsibilities of this role include:Case-picking by hand up to 50lbs.; loading and unloading products using a forklift.

Position: Forklift Operator

Shift: Weekend Day

Hours: 5:00AM- 5:00PM

Days: Fri, Sat, Sun

Pay: $18.45 per hour plus $.50 shift premium

Required Qualifications: Previous experience using a RF Scanner; Minimum of 6 months experience operating a Reach Truck; Minimum of 6 months experience operating a Dock Stocker or Counterbalance forklift; Proficiency in English (written and spoken); Comfortable training in Mechaniscburg first week.

Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) such as Blue Yonder, Red Prarie, SAP, or AS 400.

Role Purpose:

What will you do in this role? Our Forklift Operators are responsible for moving stock from one area to another within our warehouse environment. You’ll load and unload shipments of various sizes, and you may use certain types of equipment such as stand-up, sit-down, or clamp forklifts and electric pallet jacks.Our environment is team oriented, fast paced and safety focused. Key Accountabilities:

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using various types of forklifts or other power equipment 80% of specified shift.
• Pull and prepare product for shipment ensuring the exact number and types of product is loaded.
• Keep appropriate records and reports for inventory accuracy.
• Comply with all OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Verify load accuracy; check the load count, stability, and product damage, report variances as necessary.
• Change equipment battery or LP tank and monitor power source as necessary.
• Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
• Assist in physical inventories.
• Complete daily inspection of equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

• Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment
• High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
• Six months warehouse experience, preferred
• Six months forklift operation experience
