Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Forklift Operator in Horn Lake, MS. The role involves loading and unloading trucks, picking orders with RF scan, boxing pallets, and lifting up to 35 pounds. The first shift runs 7:30am–4:00pm, Monday–Friday, with overtime as needed. Hourly pay is $20.35.

Preferred candidates have forklift experience (reach truck), dock stocker work, and familiarity with WMS systems such as Red Prairie, Blue Yonder, Manhattan, SAP, or AS400. Benefits accompany employment.

Qualifications

• Forklift operator certificate or forklift-training program completed within 30 days.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Six months warehouse experience preferred.
• Six months forklift operation experience.

Responsibilities

• Pull and prepare product for shipment with exact counts and types.
• Maintain inventory records and ensure accuracy.
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Complete daily equipment inspections and perform other duties as assigned.

The core responsibilities of this role include: Loading and unloading trucks by hand or with material handling equipment; picking customer orders using an RF scan gun; boxing and wrapping pallets to prepare for shipment; lifting up to 35 pounds on a regular basis.

Position: Forklift Operator
Shift: First (1st) Shift, 7:30am - 4:00pm, Monday-Friday. Overtime required based on business needs.
Pay: $20.35 per hour

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of 1 year operating a Reach Truck
• A minimum of 1 year operating a Dock Stocker
• Minimum of 6 months experience with a Warehouse Management System such as Red Prairie, Blue Yonder, Manhattan, SAP, AS400

Preferred Qualifications:

• A minimum of 1 year operating an Order Picker or Cherry Picker

Role Purpose

What will you do in this role? Our Forklift Operators are responsible for moving stock from one area to another within our warehouse environment. You’ll load and unload shipments of various sizes, and you may use certain types of equipment such as stand-up, sit-down, or clamp forklifts and electric pallet jacks. Key Accountabilities

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using various types of forklifts or other power equipment 80% of specified shift.
• Pull and prepare product for shipment ensuring the exact number and types of product is loaded.
• Keep appropriate records and reports for inventory accuracy.
• Comply with all OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Verify load accuracy; check the load count, stability, and product damage, report variances as necessary.
• Change equipment battery or LP tank and monitor power source as necessary.
• Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
• Assist in physical inventories.
• Complete daily inspection of equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

• Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment
• High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
• Six months warehouse experience, preferred
• Six months forklift operation experience
