Job summary

Austin Wood Recycling in Texas seeks an experienced Forklift Operator to safely transport palletized products, load trucks, and support daily operations in a busy outdoor environment.

Responsibilities include moving product from production to inventory, adhering to safety protocols, and reporting accidents. Candidates should be able to work Saturdays, pass a drug screen, and lift up to 70 lbs. Bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Forklift/Spyder certification required.
• Ability to work +/- 60 hours per week including Saturdays.
• Must pass a drug screen.
• Must lift up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport palletized product from production area to the inventory pad.
• Load trucks and assist customers as needed.
• Follow SOPs and safety procedures for internal transport.
• Wear safety gear at all times (toe shoes, vest, hard hat, gloves).
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Brief

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to safely transport palletized products, load trucks and customers as needed, and support daily operations while maintaining a professional and safety-focused work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently transport palletized product via forklift from the production area to the inventory pad.
• Report all accidents and injuries, regardless of severity.
• Follow all standard operating procedures and processes related to transporting product within and from the autoline production area.
• Safety gear is required and expected to be worn at all times (safety toe shoes/boots, vest, hard hat, & gloves).
• Assume other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by management.

Job Qualifications

• Ability to work +/- 60 hours per week to include Saturdays with overtime (hours not guaranteed)
• Forklift/Spyder experience is required (certification is required).
• Bilingual a plus
• Must pass a drug screen.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and walk for short periods.
• Must be able to bend and stoop throughout the workday (lifting mulch/soil bags, trash debris, etc).
• Must be able to climb and descend stairs and ladders.
• Must be able to work outside for periods of time in all weather.
• Must be able to work in a dusty environment (tolerate various types of work dust).
