Job summary

Maersk in Humble, TX is seeking a Forklift Operator to manage loading/unloading and material handling with safety and accuracy. You will operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners, ensuring loads match manifests and inventory records.

The role requires standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, overtime as needed, and strong teamwork in a fast-paced warehouse environment with adherence to TSA/OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required.
• 1 year of warehouse experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
• Must be able to read and comprehend work instructions.
• Must work overtime and occasional weekends.

• Ensure a safe and secure work environment including all TSA and OSHA guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Forklift Operator

Oversees loading & unloading materials using a hand truck, reach truck, or forklift. Maintains a clean and safe work environment and identifies discrepancies in receiving loads against manifest.

Responsibilities

• Utilize manifest to pull route, stage freight, and assist drivers to load and unload trucks.
• Material handling may include picking, packing, scanning, kitting (as applicable), counting products and other similar duties.

• Must be able to work overtime as needed, occasional weekends.
• Must be able to read and comprehend work instructions well.
• Must have the ability to work well with others, with little supervision.
• High attention to detail required.
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs unassisted.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.

Physical Requirements

This position requires standing and walking for extended periods of time; standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, using hands, reaching, bending, and lifting objects above their head. Employees must be able to regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds unassisted and use pallet jacks and forklifts.

Pay Range

$22–$25 per hour. The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
