Production Forklift Operator Responsibilities:

• Operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries.
• Move pallets to and from warehouse, storage areas, machines, loading docks, packaging lines, railroad cars, trucks, and storage facilities.

Routinely:

• Drive gasoline, liquefied gas, lifting devices such as forklifts, clamps, elevating platforms, and move products, equipment, or materials.
• Position forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials, and transport load to designated area.
• Unload and stack material by raising and lowering lifting device.
• Inventory materials on the work floor and supply workers with materials as needed.
• Weigh materials or products accurately, and record weight on tags, labels, and production schedules.
• Load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting devices.
• Perform daily forklift checks.
• Read bill of material and store containers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Valid forklift operator certificate (training and certification provided by ZXP).
• High school diploma or GED, or 1-3 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent.
• Math skills for basic calculations and interpreting data.
• Effective communication skills, including reading, writing, and computer skills.
