Job summary

Maola Local Dairies in Alabama is seeking a 1st shift forklift operator to support the shipping division by loading, unloading, moving pallets, and counting inventory. The role requires safe operation of equipment and maintaining a clean, organized work area.

Prerequisites include a high school diploma or GED and forklift experience; weekend and overtime work may be required. Maola offers competitive pay and benefits as part of its farmer-owned cooperative.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads product in a safe and efficient manner.
• Responsible for the accurate loading of all palletized orders.
• Receives incoming product and stock into designated areas.
• Operates and cleans equipment, e.g., palletizer and bander.
• Cleans up all debris and hoses down area after spills.
• Notifies shift supervisor of breakdowns or mixed products.
• Sets aside “mistake products” for inventory and restocking.
• Maintains records and reports to ensure accurate inventory counts.
• Lift and stack boxes of product in cooler.
• Additional duties as assigned.

SUMMARY:

Supports shipping division by operating a forklift to load, unload, move, stack, stage, and count product/materials. Maintains a clean, sanitary and safe work area. Ensures all required information is documented in accordance with SOPs.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

• Fork lift Experience Required.
