Job summary

Maersk in Greer, SC is seeking a Warehouse Operator for 1st shift (7:00am-5:00pm) to move products throughout the facility using Material Handling equipment. The role requires operating forklifts, pallet jacks and RF scan guns, with duties including loading/unloading trucks and safe, accurate handling of goods.

Ideal candidates will have forklift certification, a high school diploma or equivalent, and about 1 year of warehouse experience.

Qualifications

• Must be Forklift Certified.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks and banding/shrink wrap materials.
• RF scan gun experience required.
• Overtime and some weekend work may be required.
• Must read and comprehend work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Pull and stage freight using manifests and assist Drivers with loading/unloading.
• Perform picking, packing, scanning and related warehouse tasks.
• Ensure timeliness, packaging, and system accuracy.
• Identify and annotate OS&DS.
• Safely operate forklift and pallet jacks.
• Follow detailed work instructions in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain safe, TSA and OSHA compliant work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary

Role focuses on movement of products throughout the warehouse using various types of Material Handling equipment. Role requires the skills and experience to operate/drive manual handling equipment in accordance with local legislation. These roles will mostly require an externally accredited qualification/licence. Typical titles include Forklift operator, Equipment Operator, MHE Operator

Responsibilities

• Utilizing manifest to pull route, stage freight, and assist Drivers to load and unload trucks
• Material handling may include one or more of the following: picking, packing, scanning, kitting (as applicable), counting products and other like duties
• Must ensure timeliness, packaging, and systems work is completed accurately
• Identifying and annotating overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D)
• Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jacks, etc.
• Read and follow detailed and defined instructions in a fast-paced environment
• Ensure safe and secure work environment including all TSA and OSHA guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be Forklift Certified
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous warehouse experience preferred - 1 year experience
• Must be able to use forklifts, pallet jacks and banding/shrink wrap material
• Experience using a RF scan gun required
• Previous forklift certifications preferredMust be able to work overtime as needed, occasional weekends
• Must be able to read and comprehend work instructions well
• Must have the ability to work well with others
• High attention to detail required
• Must have the ability to work well with others with little supervision
• Must be able to lift 50+lbs. unassisted
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English

Physical Requirements

This position requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. Position requires employees to frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands, reach, bend and lift objects above their head. Employees must be able to regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds unassisted and use pallet jacks and forklifts.

Pay Range

$19.00 - $22.00 per hour

• The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
