Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure is seeking a hands-on yard operator in Fuquay-Varina, NC. This non-exempt role moves precast materials in an industrial setting, using forklifts and loaders to support production and shipping.

You will stage orders, load customer trucks, inspect equipment, and keep the yard safe and organized, collaborating with service and delivery teams. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of heavy equipment experience, basic math skills, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years with heavy equipment.
• Experience operating forklifts >18k lb capacity.
• Loader experience preferred.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to read/write simple instructions and communicate with teammates.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. periodically.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and loader to transport inventory, unload stock and load orders.
• Pull and stage orders for shipment.
• Load customer trucks based on ship tickets.
• Push aggregate material with a loader.
• Complete weekly equipment inspections.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized work area.
• Coordinate with customer service, technical service and delivery personnel.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate in this role will perform a wide range of duties in an industrial manufacturing environment. This individual will be part of a yard crew responsible for safely and efficiently moving, organizing and assisting in the production of precast concrete products of the highest quality standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate industrial forklift and loader to transport inventory, unload incoming stock and load orders
• Pull and stage orders for shipment
• Load customer trucks based on ship tickets
• Push aggregate material utilizing a loader
• Complete weekly equipment inspections
• Keep area safe, clean and organized
• Interface with customer service, technical service, and delivery personnel
• Other responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Job Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years experience operating heavy equipment preferred
• Experience operating forklifts with > 18k lb. capacity
• Prior experience utilizing loaders is preferred
• Knowledge of basic math and measurements
• Ability to read/write simple instructions and communicate effectively with team members
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. periodically throughout the day
