Job summary

Guardian Fleet Services Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator to keep the yard organized and safe while efficiently handling a steady flow of vehicles and materials. You will operate a forklift, perform inspections, and ensure proper placement to prevent damage.

Responsibilities include maintaining yard safety, loading/unloading, and supporting drain, crush, and parts teams. A high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of forklift experience are required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years forklift operator experience; certification preferred.
• Knowledge of safety practices.
• Must be able to pass training and safety requirements.
• Valid driver’s license required.

• Maintain yard safety and organize the yard to maximize productivity.
• Perform pre‑ and post‑shift inspections documenting items in need of service or repair.
• Follow company and OSHA safety procedures; report issues to Safety Director.
• Load and unload haulers when needed.
• Support workers with vehicles and materials for drain team, parts dismantlers, and scrap processors.
• Assist crush team and help load crushed vehicles.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are seeking a Forklift Operator to be responsible for safely keeping the yard organized and clean, managing and organizing a large flow of new vehicles and materials coming into the yard daily.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Operate forklift to maintain the flow of incoming vehicles, parts, and materials, placing items in correct locations to prevent damages.
• Maintain yard safety and cleanliness by helping to organize the yard to work efficiently and maximize productivity.
• Responsible to perform pre‑and post‑shift inspections documenting items in need of service or repair.
• Operates company equipment safely. Follows yard guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures. Bring problems to the attention of the Safety Director.
• Load and unload haulers when needed.
• Support workers with vehicles and materials for drain team, parts dismantlers, and scrap processors.
• Support crush team, help prepare and load crushed vehicles.
• Maintains a positive and professional demeanor.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Must have 2 years of hands‑on Forklift Operator experience, certification preferred.
• Knowledge of safety practices.
• Must be able to pass training and safety requirements.
• Valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements

The job requires lifting, crawling, pulling, constant use of hands, significant bending and reaching, climbing, significant physical strength and stamina. Ability to lift and pull at least 50 lbs. Good hearing and vision are required.
