Job summary

A growing plastics manufacturing facility in Henderson County is seeking a Sit-Down Forklift Operator to join their production team. This role is key to keeping materials moving safely and efficiently across the warehouse and production floor.

Monday-Friday 8am to 4:30pm with OT. $22/hr. Requires 6+ months forklift experience; certification preferred but willing to certify. High school diploma or GED preferred. Safety-minded and reliable attendance are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of sit-down forklift experience required.
• Current forklift certification preferred; willing to certify.
• Experience in plastics manufacturing or warehouse environment a plus.
• Able to read pick lists, labels, and basic production docs.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for the shift.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Reliable attendance and strong safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down counterbalance forklift to load, unload, and transport raw materials, finished goods, and packaging supplies
• Safely stage and move product between production lines, warehouse racking, and shipping/receiving areas
• Load and unload trucks and trailers accurately and efficiently
• Perform daily pre-operation forklift inspections and report any mechanical issues
• Read and follow production schedules, pick tickets, and bills of lading
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and labeling
• Keep aisles, racking, and work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards
• Follow all safety protocols, including PPE requirements and pedestrian right-of-way rules
• Support general warehouse and production duties as needed
