Job Title: Cherry Picker

Location: Kernersville

Shift: 1st shift 7 am to 3:30 pm Pay: $17.00

Shift: 3rd 11:00pm to 7:00am Pay: $18.50

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to support warehouse operations by safely operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts. This position is responsible for moving, loading, unloading, staging, and organizing materials while maintaining accuracy, productivity, and a clean work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move materials throughout the warehouse or production area.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers while ensuring products are handled safely and accurately.
• Move pallets, raw materials, finished goods, and supplies to designated storage, staging, shipping, or production areas.
• Perform daily forklift inspections and report any equipment issues, safety concerns, or needed repairs to a supervisor.
• Use RF scanners, paperwork, or warehouse systems to verify inventory, product locations, and shipment accuracy.
• Stack, wrap, label, and stage products according to company procedures.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA guidelines, traffic rules, and proper material handling procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
• Assist with inventory counts, order picking, shipping, receiving, and general warehouse duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous forklift operating experience required, including sit-down and stand-up forklift operation.
• Ability to safely operate equipment in a fast-paced warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
• Forklift certification preferred; must be able to complete company forklift training and certification if required.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, shipping paperwork, labels, and safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse or production environment with moving equipment, varying temperatures, and moderate noise levels.
• Must be able to follow all PPE and safety requirements.
