Responsibilities:
We are seeking applications for Equipment Operator/Forklift Driver at our Rochelle, Illinois facility.
- Safety Statement: It is each employee's responsibility to work safely, protect their own health and safety, and participate in safety programs.
- Scope: The role involves duties as a label line equipment operator / checker II in both the Label Line and Distribution Departments, including relief duties and other assigned tasks.
Label Line Equipment Operator (LLEO):
- Palletizer Machine: Monitor and ensure correct labeling and carton output, report mechanical issues.
- Label Machine: Check labels, remove damaged labels, add hot melt glue, ensure system operation.
- Depalletizer Machine: Collect and dispose of damaged or defective cans, record cans removed.
- Casing Machine: Replenish and ensure correct carton orientation.
- Communication: Maintain communication with supervisors and stock controllers, report changes.
- Documentation: Complete reports, verify pallet tags, document product start times and changes.
- Changeover Duties: Perform safe changeovers, including cleaning and setup.
- Equipment: Operate palletizer, label, depalletizer, casing machines, and related equipment.
- Safety, Housekeeping, Security: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, comply with OSHA standards.
Forklift Driver (Checker II):
- Operate powered industrial lift trucks safely.
- Set up and load shipments, maintain stock systems, and ensure safety and cleanliness.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Basic proficiency in reading, writing, math, and computer skills.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Powered industrial lift truck certification required.
