Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring a Forklift Operator in Carlsbad, CA. The role requires operating forklifts to move materials, load and unload pallets, and support inventory control in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

You will work 7am to 3:30pm, using RF scanners and WMS to track inventory while following safety procedures to ensure efficient distribution operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of forklift operation experience.
• Ability to load, unload, move, stack, and organize palletized materials.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and safe equipment operation.

Pay Rate: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule: 7am to 3:30pm

Job Duties

• Use RF scanners, warehouse management systems, or inventory software to support inventory movement and tracking.
• Maintain constant awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and inventory while operating powered industrial vehicles.
• Follow warehouse safety procedures to help maintain efficient warehouse and distribution operations.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse training or powered industrial truck training is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• 2+ years of experience operating forklifts or other powered industrial equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ability to load, unload, move, stack, and organize palletized materials.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and safe equipment operation.
• Ability to accurately identify inventory, shipping documentation, and storage locations.
• Strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and commitment to workplace safety.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or shipping and receiving is preferred.
• Current forklift certification or experience operating multiple classes of powered industrial equipment is beneficial.
• Experience using RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate safe operating practices, teamwork, reliability, and productivity are well positioned for success as a Forklift Operator.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb on and off powered industrial equipment throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, move, or reposition materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts in busy warehouse and manufacturing environments.
• Ability to maintain awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and inventory while operating powered industrial vehicles.
