Forklift Operator – Crown Beverage Division
Location: Bradley, IL
Position Overview
The forklift operator works closely with the Plant Shipping Supervisor to ensure the packaging, handling, and shipment of high-quality products that meet or exceed customer expectations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Transport product and equipment throughout the facility, focusing on safety, quality, productivity, and spoilage prevention.
- Operate, maintain, and safely operate forklifts.
- Communicate all pertinent information between departments and shifts regarding equipment, production schedules, and production issues.
- Collaborate with warehousing, scheduling, process supply, and product shipment teams.
- Assist, train, and coach new operators as needed.
- Apply skills and methods to improve plant production.
- Inspect products to ensure compliance with standards.
- Contribute to maintaining quality and recommend modifications to existing standards for optimal efficiencies.
- Complete required documentation such as production sheets, pallet tickets, scanning, monthly SAFE cards, accident/near‑miss/hazard reporting, and process control sheets.
- Perform other job‑related duties as required or assigned.
Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in warehousing and high‑speed manufacturing environments.
- Certified and at least three years of proven forklift experience.
- Availability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime to cover absences or provide additional support.
Preferred Requirements
- OSHA/Forklift Trainer Certified
- Beverage Packaging industry experience
- Knowledge of AS400

Physical Requirements
- Regularly sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach, and may need to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- May lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions
- Warehouse or plant environment.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts/products and vehicular traffic.
- Exposure to varying temperatures.
- Frequent exposure to loud noise levels.
Possible Equivalent Military Titles
- Logistician; Store Manager; Supply and Warehousing Manager; Transportation Manager; Transportation Maintenance Manager.
