Job summary

Staffmark is hiring a Forklift Operator in Bethlehem, PA. The role involves operating forklifts to load, unload, and move materials, with duties ranging from put-away to order fulfillment. The position requires safe operation, record-keeping, and adherence to warehouse procedures.

Compensation is $19.50–$21.50 per hour, with rotating shifts and overtime as needed. Applicants should have 1–2 years of stand-up forklift experience, a high school diploma or GED, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and warehouse documentation experience preferred.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with no DUI convictions within the last two years.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift 25% of the time for put-away, loading and unloading.
• 75% of time: pick/pack, load/unload by hand or with pallet jack, sort and palletize product.
• Operate a stand-up forklift to support receiving, storage, put-away, loading, unloading, and order fulfillment.
• Perform daily forklift safety inspections and follow warehouse safety procedures.
• Load and unload trailers using forklift equipment and manual material handling methods.
• Pick, pack, sort, palletize, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
• Move materials using pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
• Maintain accurate records and keep work areas clean and organized.
• Assist with general warehouse responsibilities when forklift operation is not required.
• Support a newly launched warehouse operation and help establish efficient processes and workflow.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 1-2 years of stand-up forklift experience required
• Experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts preferred
• Knowledge of manual pallet jack operation
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
• Reliable attendance and ability to work overtime as needed
• Valid driver’s license with no DUI convictions within the last two years
• Must pass a forklift skills assessment, certification process

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand and walk for up to 10-12 hours per shift
• Ability to operate a forklift for 6-10 hours per day
• Ability to consistently lift, carry, and move products weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to bend, twist, reach, stretch, and perform repetitive warehouse tasks
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment around moving equipment and machinery

What You Will Do

As a Forklift Operator you will safely operate forklifts to load, unload, transport, stack, and organize materials throughout warehouse and manufacturing operations. You will inspect equipment before use, replenish inventory locations, support shipping and receiving activities, verify product movement, maintain inventory accuracy, and help ensure safe, efficient material handling throughout the facility.
