Job summary

Southern Tire Mart in Alabama seeks a Warehouse Associate to safely operate forklifts and move tires and related products. You will assist shipping/receiving, transport inventory, and maintain organized stock with a focus on safety.

The role requires 18+, pre-employment drug screen, and physical labor including lifting 30-150 lbs. Forklift certification or experience is strongly preferred; training is available. Health benefits and PTO are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Forklift certification or prior forklift experience strongly preferred (training available if necessary).
• Ability to lift and move tires weighing 30-150 lbs., with or without mechanical assistance.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with repetitive lifting, bending, and standing.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Assist with physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
• Support coworkers and other departments with material-handling needs.
• Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and OSHA regulations.
