Job summary

McIntosh Box and Pallet is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator in Bernhards Bay, NY. You will move materials safely and efficiently, ensuring correct placement and inventory accuracy.

Shift 6:00 am–2:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with a starting pay of $16 per hour plus incentives. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, stocking, logging activity, transporting materials within the facility, and following safety procedures.

McIntosh Box and Pallet is hiring for a Forklift Operator in Bernhards Bay, New York!

We are looking for a technically skilled and experienced individual with excellent attention to detail to join our team in Bernhards Bay, NY, as a Forklift Operator.

Pay: $16 + incentive!

Shift: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm Monday to Friday.

A Forklift Operator will be responsible for moving material by operating a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. The goal will be to ensure that materials and products will always be in the right place to achieve maximum efficiency. This individual will be responsible, hardworking, and a team player!

Forklift Operator's Job Responsibilities:

• Load and unload materials
• Put inventory away in proper locations
• Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs
• Transport materials to different locations within the facility
• Secure loads to the machine before transportation
• Inspect for damage to vehicles
• Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records
• Execute assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner while adhering to production schedules
• Operate and manage technical equipment
• Exchange propane tanks on the back of the lift when it is out of gasoline
• Restack lumber when piles are knocked over or need adjustments
• Assist team members in the yard and on the floor as needed
• Special projects as assigned
• Comply with company policies and safety guidelines, as well as identify workplace hazards
• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment in the facility

• Regularly sitting on a powered industrial truck
• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time

• Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending on the season
