Coca-Cola UNITED in Baton Rouge is seeking an Operator – Forklift 2 to move product safely using powered industrial equipment. The role requires operating equipment per UNITED safety policy and ensuring accurate handling of goods.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Minimum age 18.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Less than high school education; or up to 3-6 months related experience or training.
• Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job.
• PPE required and safety policies must be followed.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays or a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operation of powered industrial equipment while following UNITED safety policy.
• Verify all product/full goods/raw materials incoming and outgoing.
• Stacking loads properly.
• Perform general housekeeping duties.
• Perform daily forklift inspections.
• Correctly rotate product/materials.
• Responsible for following all warehouse operating procedures.
• Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management.

Job Description

The Operator – Forklift 2 is responsible for safely moving product using powered industrial equipment.

What Your Day Will Look Like

• Operation of powered industrial equipment while following UNITED safety policy
• Verify all product/full goods/raw materials incoming and outgoing
• Stacking loads properly
• Perform general housekeeping duties
• Perform daily forklift inspections
• Correctly rotate product/materials
• Responsible for following all warehouse operating procedures
• Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management

What You Need To Succeed

• Minimum age 18 years old
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
• Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
• Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
• Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
• Less than high school education; or up to 3-6 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Forklift experience preferred
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required
• Ability to work with all functional team members

Physical Requirements

Position will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program. Position is required to wear safety toed shoes when performing the following tasks: Operating Powered Industrial Equipment or Working in an Area where Powered Industrial Equipment is in use, Fleet Maintenance, Working with Palletized Product, Use of Hand Trucks/Dollies to Deliver Product, Cooler Services, etc.
