A leading company is seeking a Forklift Operator for a temporary onsite position in Appleton, WI. Responsibilities include material handling, labeling, and maintaining a clean workspace while ensuring safety protocols. Responsibilities:
Essential duties and responsibilities: May unload goods from vehicles such as trucks. Moving goods packed on pallets around the storage facility, Stacking goods in storage locations, following inventory control instructions, Checking loads are secure, Stacking empty pallets, Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the trucks battery and lubricating equipment, Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards.
Qualifications:
Would need to be comfortable operating a packaging line. Simple operations which consist of pushing a button and allowing a tote / drum to fill. Assigned responsibilities would be limited to:
Material handling - moving material to/from a warehouse
Labeling drums
Labeling totes
Packaging drums and totes
Keeping the area clean/organized
Up to 2 people can be working on the filler at a time - one operating the filler; one on a forklift.
Educational Qualification requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent, Good math, language and reading skills; basic computer skills may be required, High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment, Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records, Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner, Maintain a clean & safe environment. Clean driving record and a valid state motor vehicle operators license may be required, Forklift certification per OSHA standards
