Job summary

Contech Engineered Solutions LLC in Alexandria, Minnesota is seeking a Forklift Operator to join our plant team. You will operate a forklift to build loads, perform daily safety checks, and help with material handling in a manufacturing setting.

This role involves preparing lumber for dunnage, maintaining records, fueling and parking the forklift, and keeping the yard organized. Prior manufacturing or distribution experience and forklift certification are preferred; outdoor work is common, and

Qualifications

• Prior manufacturing, production, or distribution experience.
• Forklift operation certification preferred.
• Ability to operate forklift safely in outdoor/open-air environments.
• Great work ethic and impeccable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Complete pre- and post-shift safety audits and keep the forklift safety checklist up to date.
• Operate forklift to build loads and complete paperwork for each load.
• Assist with material handling and proper storage of raw materials and finished goods.
• Prepare lumber for dunnage, operate saws and nail guns with care and precision.
• Fuel and maintain forklift; park in designated area at day end.
• Record and submit production records as required.
• Keep yard area neat and organized, including strapping, boards, and stringers.

We are looking for a FORKLIFT OPERATOR to join our Alexandria, Minnesota plant. As a forklift operator with Contech you will contribute to America’s essential infrastructure including drainage systems, pipe, bridges and structures, and stormwater management. About the Role

Responsibilities:

• Complete pre- and post-shift daily audits and maintain the forklift’s daily safety checklist.
• Operate forklift to build loads by assembling product into bundles and complete detailed paperwork for each load.
• Assist with material handling to ensure raw materials and finished goods are stored in the proper location.
• Prepare lumber for dunnage use, operate saws and nail guns with precision.
• Regularly fuel and maintain forklift and ensure it is parked in designated areas at the end of each day.
• Record and turn in production records as required.
• Keep yard area in a neat and orderly condition by organizing strapping, boards, stringers, and more.

About You

We Require:

• Prior manufacturing, production, or distribution experience.
• Certification on Forklift Operation preferred.
• Ability to operate forklift in accordance with required guidelines.
• Ability to work outdoors or in open air environment.
• Great work ethic and impeccable attendance.
