Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Port Deposit, MD is hiring Full Time Warehouse Forklift Operator positions with weekly pay. The base pay is $21.50 per hour, plus overtime at $32.25 per hour and a $1.00 per hour premium on the third shift.

Schedule: BHN Third Shift Thu-Sat 6:00 pm – 6:00 am, and every other Wednesday 6:00 pm – 6:00 am. Facilities are described as clean and well-run, handling Retail Items with equipment including cherry pickers and pallet jacks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Ability to work in a diverse work environment.
• Must be punctual with good attendance.
• Able to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs.
• Flexible schedule on various shifts.
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting.
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks.
• Responsible for day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for the automated packing system during core shift hour.
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
