Qualifications

• Proven experience as forklift mechanic or heavy equipment mechanic.
• Hands-on experience with propane and diesel forklifts.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Valid driver’s license; forklift certification a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; works in a warehouse or outdoor environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on propane and diesel forklifts.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fuel system issues.
• Perform routine inspections to ensure equipment is safe and operational.
• Replace or repair engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, and other components.
• Maintain accurate service and maintenance records; ensure OSHA safety standards.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.
• Communicate repair needs and recommendations with management.
