Forklift Mechanic Apprentice - Upper Marlboro

Eastern Lift Truck Co. is seeking a Technician Apprentice to support our Upper Marlboro, MD location. We offer excellent growth opportunities, competitive compensation, and benefits for individuals interested in building a career with a company that maintains a family-oriented environment.

This entry-level position involves learning the mechanics of material handling equipment maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs. You will be mentored through a 6–9-month formal training program, which includes classroom learning and hands-on shop training to prepare you for a career as a Field Service Technician. The program emphasizes safety standards and customer interaction skills.

Main Duties:
  • Learn to perform routine maintenance, diagnose, and repair material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, aerial lifts, pallet trucks)
  • Complete required training certifications
  • Assist experienced mechanics
  • Follow all health and safety protocols
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with Company and OSHA standards
Requirements:
  • Some mechanical experience
  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor
  • Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions
  • Clean driving record (MUST)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Compensation:

This hourly position offers a pay range of $24.00/hr to $26.00/hr, based on experience.
