Associated is seeking a Forklift Field Service Technician to service the St. Charles, IL area from Warrenville, IL. The role includes troubleshooting, installations, and preventive maintenance, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.

We offer a flexible schedule (4x10 or 5x8), paid travel time after the first 30 minutes, and a comprehensive benefits package. A company van and fuel card are provided to support field work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 1–3 years of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic experience in a similar environment or equivalent vocational education.
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are essential.
• Experience operating forklift and reading schematics/maps is required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical issues, complete installations, and perform both unscheduled repairs and scheduled maintenance.

Responsibilities:

As a Forklift Field Service Technician, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional service to our customers by:

• Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnosing electro-mechanical issues, completing installations, and performing both unscheduled repairs and scheduled maintenance based on customer requirements.
• Problem Analysis and Resolutions: Analyzing breakdown situations, recommending corrective actions to customers, and executing repairs efficiently and professionally.
• Customer Service Excellence: Demonstrating professionalism and fostering positive relationships with customers while delivering superior customer service.

Qualifications:

• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in reading schematics, maps, blueprints, and manuals, coupled with knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and material handling equipment.
• Customer-Centric Approach: Strong interpersonal skills, ability to exchange information courteously, and a commitment to exceptional customer relations.
• Safety and Resourcefulness: Competency in safely operating various equipment and personal hand tools, coupled with the ability to leverage available support resources effectively.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the following physical activities on a regular basis:

Must be able to operate a forklift, you must safely fit inside a tight operator compartment measuring 16 to 20 inches wide and perform mechanical repairs in restricted, confined spaces.

Strength & Lifting

Light Work– Regularly lift and move up to20 lbs.

Medium Work– Frequently lift and move up to50 lbs.

Heavy Work– Occasionally lift and move up to100 lbs.

Very Heavy Work– Rarely required to lift over110 lbs..

Note:The role may also involve extended periods of walking and standing.
