Job summary

Golden Aluminum in Fort Lupton, Colorado, is hiring a Forklift Maintenance Technician to maintain the forklift fleet and ensure safe operation. Duties include inspecting vehicles, identifying repairs, removing unsafe equipment, and performing routine maintenance across electric, gas, and propane models.

You will test repairs, log maintenance, replace propane tanks, and may assist with basic facility upkeep.

Qualifications

• Ability to use hand and power tools to repair forklift trucks.
• Ability to read repair manuals for various types of forklift trucks.
• Excellent mechanical repair skills.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating manuals and procedures.
• Have basic Microsoft computer skills, and possess basic/fundamental math skills.
• Completion of forklift truck mechanics training course suggested, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect forklift truck fleet to ensure trucks are working properly and safely.
• Identify any forklift trucks that need repairs.
• Remove unsafe equipment from facility operating area and notify supervisor.
• Repair and maintain various types of forklift trucks including electric, gas-powered, and propane powered.
• Test forklift trucks to ensure repairs are completed correctly.
• Schedule and perform routine maintenance for forklift trucks.
• Ensure batteries for electric forklift trucks are fully charged.
• Replace empty propane tanks on propane-powered forklift trucks.
• Maintain repair log for forklift truck fleet.
• May perform facility preventative maintenance if time allows.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
