Job summary

Associated Materials Innovations seeks a motivated Forklift/Material Handler to join our manufacturing team in Cedar Rapids. You will support the distribution process by loading/unloading materials, picking orders, organizing inventory, and maintaining a safe, clean workspace to ensure on-time shipments.

You will contribute to delivering quality by ensuring accurate counts, managing transfer orders, and communicating needs to purchasing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2-3 years of manufacturing/production experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Forklift certification/training or the ability to obtain forklift license.
• Basic math skills for inventory counts and verifications.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and learn multiple areas of operations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Clear communication in English; bi-lingual in Spanish and English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Verify materials counted on dock match packing list and PO data; query discrepancies with dock staff or purchasing.
• Organize and distribute receipt labels for new materials.
• Notify Corporate Purchasing of PO needs/issues daily.
• Manually issue materials for non-scan situations.
• Answer production department calls regarding inventory levels and delivery times.
• Complete packing slips for outbound loads and transfer orders to other plants.
• Validate scrap logs against database reports for accuracy.
• Assist with inbound materials checks and inventory discrepancies.
• Process transfer orders and correct material discrepancies in AIMS.
• Perform cross-training and floor support as needed.
