Job summary

OSI Group Batavia, IL is seeking a material handler responsible for moving raw materials and finished products between production areas, storage, and docks using a riding pallet jack or forklift. The role requires adherence to safety and GMP policies in a food manufacturing environment.

You will offload deliveries, organize storage, stack pallets, and maintain a clean workspace while following verbal instructions and operating in noisy, temperature-variant settings.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year of related experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to follow verbal instructions accurately.
• Able to work in a food manufacturing environment with noise and temperature variations.
• May require lifting up to 50 pounds.
• May require standing/walking more than 4 hours.
• No domestic travel required.

Responsibilities

• Move raw materials from storage to production using a riding pallet jack or forklift.
• Move finished products from the production line to the next area.
• Move finished products to freezer.
• Offload delivered raw materials into storage area and organize.
• Stack and organize pallets and keep area clean.
• Remove empty pallets from department.
• Follow safety, food safety, GMPs, and other policies.
• Understand and follow safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
