Job summary

Americold Logistics LLC is seeking a maintenance technician to perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance on forklifts and material handling equipment across the warehouse. You will troubleshoot issues, maintain accurate records, and conduct safety equipment tests to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

The role requires at least 1 year of forklift maintenance experience or related training, basic computer skills, and completion of HAZMAT training.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
Minimum 1 year of forklift maintenance experience or specialized forklift maintenance training, OR 2+ years of other mechanic experience as substitute.
Must complete assigned technical training and/or mechanical-electrical courses.
Must complete HAZMAT training and maintain certification.
Basic computer skills for email, internet searches, and data entry.

Responsibilities

Inspect and repair forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to meet OSHA and operational standards.
Maintain batteries and chargers per OSHA standards.
Test, maintain, and evaluate equipment performance with appropriate instruments.
Maintain tools and machinery in good condition; use equipment as instructed.
Conduct safety equipment tests to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Keep preventive maintenance records in the CMMS.
Maintain a clean, organized work area and perform housekeeping duties.
Work flexible shifts, including on-call as required.
