Job summary

GPS Jobs is now hiring Hyster forklift maintenance technicians in Orangeburg, SC for immediate positions. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on Hyster-Yale forklifts, troubleshoot issues, and work on brake, drivetrain, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

Competitive pay at $55/hr (dependent on experience) with 1st shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday–Friday, no weekends, and full benefits after hire; on-the-job training for apprentices may be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required (technical school preferred).
• Proven experience maintaining or repairing Hyster forklifts.
• Basic computer and tablet knowledge (Microsoft/Apple systems).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on Hyster-Yale forklifts.
• Troubleshoot issues with forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Work on wet brake systems, drivetrains, hydraulic circuits, and electrical systems.
• Accurately identify and order replacement parts as needed.
• Maintain detailed service and repair documentation.
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
• Assist with on-the-job training for apprentice technicians when needed.
