Job summary

Charlie’s Produce is seeking a Loader in San Juan Bautista, CA to safely and efficiently load outbound customer orders onto delivery trailers. You will work with Dispatch, Drivers, and Shipping leadership to ensure compliant, accurate loading and strict adherence to forklift safety procedures.

The role emphasizes forklift proficiency, attention to detail, and teamwork, with a safety-first mindset across all daily tasks on the loading dock.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years forklift experience preferred.
• Experience operating single and single-double forklifts.
• Experience loading and securing outbound shipments in a distribution, warehouse, or shipping environment.
• Experience verifying orders and ensuring product accuracy before shipment.
• Strong understanding of shipping dock safety practices and trailer loading procedures.
• Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely on loading dock areas.
• Fill out paperwork for truck inspection for each truck to be loaded.
• Perform required trailer safety checks prior to loading.
• Load trailers according to dispatch instructions and route requirements.
• Verify products, pallet counts, quantities, and order information prior to loading.
• Inspect completed orders and identify discrepancies before shipments depart.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping dock environment.
• Communicate shipment concerns and safety issues to Dispatch and Management.
