Tyson Foods is seeking entry-level general laborers for varied roles in Sherman, Texas. Applicants will maintain a safe work environment, follow company policies, and handle various material-related tasks, potentially including operation of forklifts. Candidates must be physically able to perform job requirements, including lifting and standing for extended periods, with no relocation assistance provided.
Certain roles at Tyson require background checks. If you are offered a position that requires a background check, you will be provided with additional documentation to complete once an offer has been extended.
This position involves entry-level, non-skilled general labor, maintaining a safe work environment and following Tyson policies and procedures.
Applicants may be considered for forklift-related openings (including Forklift operator, Picker, Loader, Put Away duties) on any shift—day, evening, or night—as determined at the time of offer or after interview based on hiring needs. Overtime and weekend work may be required. Positions may be in departments like shipping and receiving. Work involves exposure to cold and damp environments (28-42 degrees), fast-paced tasks, repetitive motions, and lifting up to 40+ lbs. Material Handling and Receiving roles may require lifting 70+ lbs. The job involves constant standing, walking, and operating powered material handling equipment (forklifts, stand-up lifts). Specialized training for powered industrial trucks is provided and required for qualification within Tyson Foods. Candidates must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Note: You must have three months of work history within the last twelve months to be considered. All job offers are contingent upon providing proof of legal work authorization in the U.S. and passing a urinalysis screening as part of a post-offer health assessment.
