Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads materials onto/from pallets, trucks or customer vehicles and secures with strapping, bracing or padding.
• Performs load-building to balance and secure loads for delivery.
• Reads work orders or follows instructions to determine materials to move.
• Conveys materials between storage and designated areas using hand trucks, electric dollies, forklifts or similar equipment.
• Opens containers and loads using tools such as cutters or hammers.
• Attaches labels to materials to ensure correct identification.
• Follows safety procedures to prevent injuries and attends safety meetings.
