Job summary

GEA Group in Wisconsin is seeking a reliable forklift operator to move materials, load and unload pallets, and maintain accurate daily counts on the production sheet.

You will also tag and label materials, assist in moving items to designated areas, and operate the forklift or hoist with safety in mind. A high school diploma and forklift license are required, with 3 months to 1 year of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent and 3 months to 1 year of experience in the field. Forklift driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
• Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.
• Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on a daily production sheet.
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, boxes, or other containers.
• Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together.
• Lifts heavy objects by hand or with power hoist for delivery to shop floor.
• Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
