Job summary

MPS, a division of Macmillan Publishing, is hiring a Rolling Equipment (Forklift) Operator in Gordonsville, VA. This full-time role supports Inventory Control, operating Pacer, Turret Truck, Order Picker and Walkie/Rider, with mandatory PPE at heights up to 35 feet.

Hourly pay ranges from $17.28 to $23.84, plus a $1,000 retention bonus after one year and benefits including PTO, 11 holidays, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to operate turret truck, order picker, Pacer, forklift, reach truck and walkie/rider.
• Work at elevations up to 35 feet wearing PPE (safety harness).

Responsibilities

• Picks cartons and loose stock to staging areas for replenishment to forward pick locations.
• Loads cartons on conveyor and/or drop zone; places products in designated locations.
• Counts inbound/outbound freight for accuracy and completes paperwork.
• Inspects cartons/pallets for damage and prepares product for shipment.
• Uses WMS and various scanning devices to record moves and transfers stock.
• Keeps work area clean and follows safety procedures.
