Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring a Forklift Inventory Associate in Elmhurst, IL for the 2nd shift (1:30 pm - 10:00 pm). Pay range is $19.00–$21.00 per hour. The role focuses on forklift operation, inventory movement, and safe warehouse practices to keep operations flowing on the floor.

Job Duties

• Perform various functions within our Logistics Warehouse
• operations under the direction of a team lead
• Utilize handheld scanners and computer workstations for picking, packaging, kitting/transformation of products

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse training or powered industrial truck training is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• Experience operating forklifts or other powered industrial equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ability to load, unload, move, stack, and organize palletized materials.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and safe equipment operation.
• Ability to accurately identify inventory, shipping documentation, and storage locations.
• Strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and commitment to workplace safety.
• Capable of basic data entry and familiarity with handheld computer devices.
• Perform simple math (add, subtract, multiple, and divide).
• Ability to function within a team environment with changing priorities and workflows.
• Comply with Company work policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of previous experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or shipping and receiving is preferred.
• Current forklift certification or experience operating multiple classes of powered industrial equipment is beneficial.
• Experience using RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate safe operating practices, teamwork, reliability, and productivity are well positioned for success as a Forklift Inventory Associate.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb on and off powered industrial equipment throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, move, or reposition materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts in busy warehouse and manufacturing environments.
• Ability to maintain awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and inventory while operating powered industrial vehicles.
