We’re looking for two talented technicians—one based near Madison and one local to Janesville—to diagnose, repair, and maintain material handling equipment on customer sites. What You’ll Do:
- Diagnose and repair forklifts and other powered industrial trucks (LP Gas, diesel, electric).
- Provide top-notch customer service by maintaining great rapport on every visit.
- Communicate with team leads and dispatch to solve challenges efficiently.
- Keep up with training to stay sharp on the latest equipment and techniques.
- Manage your workday paperwork like a pro—time cards, reports, and signatures.
- Recommend when complex repairs should be sent to our shop.
- Work overtime and handle emergency calls when needed to keep customers running.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience repairing forklifts and related equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and repair skills for industrial material handling machines.
- Excellent communication skills and customer-focused mindset.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Own a complete set of tools to get the job done right.
- Certified to operate material handling equipment.
- Commitment to safety in everything you do.
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have!):
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- Experience with full equipment rebuilds.
- Familiarity with lean business principles.
The Physical Stuff:
This job is hands-on and physically demanding—expect to lift, kneel, crouch, and be on your feet a lot. You’ll work in all kinds of environments, including noisy and extreme temperature conditions. Safety gear is always a must.
