Job summary

NewVine Employment Group in Miami is seeking a reliable Warehouse Assistant to support daily operations, including receiving, picking, packing, staging and loading. Forklift experience and attention to detail are essential in our fast-paced warehouse.

Qualifications

• Minimum six (6) months recent warehouse experience with hands-on operational duties.
• Experience operating a forklift to OSHA standards; company will provide authorisation to operate equipment where applicable.
• Ability to read and understand basic English and accurately process alpha/numeric information.
• Capable of following instructions, established procedures and making sound decisions in routine situations.
• Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to work with limited supervision when required.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including extended hours, weekends or holidays as business needs dictate.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verify quantities and condition against paperwork and system records.
• Manually unload containers and delivery vehicles and stage cargo in the correct areas.
• Operate a forklift to move palletised cargo between staging, storage and loading areas in line with safety procedures.
• Pick, pack and prepare orders for shipment using pick tickets or loading guides; palletise, wrap and label items as required.
• Scan items and update inventory systems to ensure accurate records of inbound and outbound stock.
• Load and secure cargo into containers and trailers, ensuring correct placement for transit and customer requirements.
• Report discrepancies, damages or quality issues to supervision immediately and assist with documentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in assigned work areas; remove empty pallets and skids to designated locations.
• Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on forklifts and report any faults to the warehouse mechanic.
• Adhere to all health and safety policies, wear required PPE and participate in safety training and meetings.
