Forklift Equipment Operator – Planer Department

A well-established and fully integrated forest product company, proudly rooted in the Flathead Valley, is looking for a Forklift Equipment Operator in their Planer Department. The Forklift Equipment Operator will operate forklifts to move lumber, dunnage, parts, supplies, and machinery and move finished lumber units from the Planer to the shipping yard inventory.

Pay: Starting at $22.55/hour
Schedule: Day Shift – 4/10’s – 5:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 10 1/2hr shift ½ unpaid lunch, this shift rotates out one day off during the week and every month ends up with a 4-day weekend.

Essential Functions and Duties:

• Operates forklift to move lumber units
• Accurately places lumber units in inventory yard
• Helps transport lumber, sticker racks, and cleanup carts to and from the planer
• Communicates effectively with other employees and Foremen
• Maintains a clean work area daily

Qualifications:

• Forklift experience preferred
• Able to physically perform labor position
• Able to take directions and work independently and safely
