Job description

Forklift Driver (Warehouse) 07:00 a.m. to Finishing (Transportation)

The Forklift Driver is responsible for receiving and correctly organizing all materials in the Warehouse. Additionally, the Forklift Driver may be asked to stage materials for the following day and is responsible for emptying trash/grinder bins throughout the plant according to the schedule. The role includes delivering requested materials to the plant and following Leedo's Forklift Safety Procedures and Preventative Measures.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Backing up the Lead position in the Warehouse.
  2. Receiving materials from vendors and conducting quality inbound inspections.
  3. Performing cycle counts related to the Warehouse.
  4. Completing scheduled and unscheduled daily tasks.
  5. Performing daily preventive maintenance on Warehouse forklifts per company standards.
  6. Staging materials for the next day and delivering materials to the plant as needed for production.
  7. Emptying trash and grinder bins according to the schedule.
  8. Leading by example in attendance, PPE compliance, and adherence to safety protocols.
  9. Performing additional duties as assigned by the Warehouse Lead.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to perform written data entry tasks.
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift.
  • Ability to distinguish between different types, textures, and colors of wood and laminate paper.
  • Basic math skills and ability to read a measuring tape.
  • Strong sense of urgency in achieving goals.
  • Basic reading and writing skills.
Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED required; work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Work in a factory environment, potentially involving heavy lifting and use of eye protection, hearing protection, and respirators.
