Job Responsibilities:
- Advanced knowledge of reading/interpreting schedules, pulling accurate materials/door skins, and verifying correct quantities & quality materials from main warehouse racks.
- Assist skin saw operator in pre-flipping/stacking/quality inspection of skins.
- Knowledge of material locations, taking skins to skin saw or layup specials line.
- Ability to maneuver lift truck safely in tight spaces and recover/return materials to racks.
- Understanding of SKU's, material locations, material cut requirements, and coordinating material flow to/from skin saw.
- Forklift knowledge and safety procedures, order tracking process, skin types, use of tape measure, and pull requirements for doors from main warehouse.
- Operate stand-up forklift to lift/pull/push materials onto forks from elevated heights.
- Perform safety procedures (including wearing and securing harness), read/interpret schedules/tickets, and use measuring tape to 16th.
- Work with little to no supervision, run from schedule, verify quality and accuracy of skins, and be flexible to coordinate Hot Rush/Remake demands.
- Ability to work/maneuver at elevated heights up to 20 ft, constantly getting on/off lift truck to manually lift/slide/flip door skins (max. 50 lbs.), bending, lifting, twisting - picking up materials and disposing as necessary.
- Fast-paced job with a constant need to gather skins and route to lines/skin saw, requiring a high degree of concentration and attention to details/quality.
Effective Communication & Listening Skills Required
Heights up to 20 ft and sometimes dusty. Mildly controlled environment - can expect cold and heat during extreme weather conditions.
