Job summary

Mastronardi Produce Ltd. is hiring a Forklift Driver (Receiving) for our Jonestown, PA distribution center. The role requires operating stand-up forklifts, ensuring accurate inventory movement, and supporting shipping and receiving operations in a refrigerated, 24/7 facility.

The position includes alternating 3 and 4 night weekly shifts, with a day shift from 6 AM to 5:30 PM. A high school diploma, forklift license, and valid ID are required, along with strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience operating High-Reach and/or Dock Stocker lifts.
• Forklift License required and related work experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Move product within warehouse and trailers using a stand-up forklift.
• Handle and maintain the flow of inventory in the warehouse.
• Perform basic tag and paperwork functions with high accuracy to ensure integrity of pallet movement and food safety traceability.
• Ensure all equipment and work areas are maintained in a clean, safe and orderly fashion.
• Report any product quality issues to the supervisor.
• Select/load/inspect/sort product per supervisor instructions.
• Assist in general warehouse clean-up throughout the day.
• Report safety risks to the supervisor.

Description

Our Jonestown Distribution Center, a 218,000 sq. ft. refrigerated facility operating 24/7, is currently seeking full time Forklift drivers with experience operating the High-Reach lift and/or Dock Stocker lift to join our team.The essential function of this position is to provide exceptional customer support through ensuring the accuracy of inventory movement and warehousing. Accuracy in both shipping and inventory are paramount. The individual is responsible for a wide variety of duties including but not limited to this job description.

Full-Time Available Shifts: Alternating 3 and 4 night weekly schedule (equivalent to working approx. 15 days/month

Rotation Day Shift 6 AM - 5:30 PM

Week 2 - Sunday - Monday and Friday to Saturday

Primary Function:

The essential function of this position is to provide exceptional customer support through ensuring the accuracy of inventory movement and warehousing. Accuracy in both shipping and inventory are paramount.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Move product within warehouse and trailers using a stand-up forklift.
• Handle and maintain the flow of inventory in the warehouse.
• Perform basic tag and paperwork functions with high accuracy to ensure integrity of pallet movement and food safety traceability.
• Ensure all equipment and work areas are maintained in a clean, safe and orderly fashion.
• Report any product quality issues immediately to the supervisor.
• Properly select / load / inspect / sort product per supervisors’ instructions / guidance.
• Assist in general clean-up of the warehouse throughout the day.
• Report to the supervisor when an inventory rack, piece of equipment, or anything else that may pose a safety risk to employees working in that area.
• Ensure safe/proper operation of equipment per company.
• Complete equipment checklists to ensure proper condition of equipment.

Education/Background Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Forklift License required and related work experience.
• Valid Driver’s License or valid state ID and a recent eye exam (within 1 year).

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

• Ability to use a scan gun and calculator.
• Basic arithmetic and math (counting) skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Good communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both spoken and written.

Working Conditions:

• Work in a refrigerated warehouse.
• Must be capable of lifting up to 30 lbs.
• Physical movement required: lifting, twisting, stacking, bending, squatting, reaching, stepping up and down.
