Job summary

Mastronardi Produce is hiring a full-time Forklift Driver for our Jonestown Distribution Center, a 218,000 sq. ft. refrigerated facility operating 24/7. The role focuses on accurate inventory movement, warehouse operations, and safe forklift handling.

The ideal candidate has forklift experience with HiLo or stand-up counterbalance equipment, a high school diploma, a valid license, and the ability to communicate in English. Willingness to work alternating 3-day/4-day shifts, including nights.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Move product within warehouse and trailers using a stand-up forklift.
• Maintain inventory flow and ensure accurate pallet movement.
• Perform basic tagging and paperwork with high accuracy.
• Keep equipment and work areas clean and safe.
• Report product quality issues to supervision promptly.
• Load, inspect, and sort product per supervisor guidance.
• Assist in daily warehouse cleanup.
• Report safety risks to a supervisor.

Job description

Our Jonestown Distribution Center, a 218,000 sq. ft. refrigerated facility operating 24/7, is currently seekingfull time Forklift drivers with experience operating the High-Reach lift and/or Stand-Up Counterbalance liftto join our team.The essential function of this position is to provide exceptional customer support through ensuring the accuracy of inventory movement and warehousing. Accuracy in both shipping and inventory are paramount. The individual is responsible for a wide variety of duties including but not limited to this job description.

Full-Time Available Shifts:Alternating 3 day/4 day weekly schedule (equivalent to working approx. 15 days/month

Rotation Day Shift 6 PM - 5:30 AM

Primary Function:

The essential function of this position is to provide exceptional customer support through ensuring the accuracy of inventory movement and warehousing. Accuracy in both shipping and inventory are paramount.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Move product within warehouse and trailers using a stand-up forklift.
• Handle and maintain the flow of inventory in the warehouse.
• Perform basic tag and paperwork functions with high accuracy to ensure integrity of pallet movement and food safety traceability.
• Ensure all equipment and work areas are maintained in a clean, safe and orderly fashion.
• Report any product quality issues immediately to the supervisor.
• Properly select / load / inspect / sort product per supervisors’ instructions / guidance.
• Assist in general clean-up of the warehouse throughout the day.
• Report to the supervisor when an inventory rack, piece of equipment, or anything else that may pose a safety risk to employees working in that area.
• Ensure safe/proper operation of equipment per company.
• Complete equipment checklists to ensure proper condition of equipment.

Education/Background Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Forklift License required and related work experience.
• Valid Driver’s License or valid state ID and a recent eye exam (within 1 year).

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

• Ability to use a scan gun and calculator.
• Basic arithmetic and math (counting) skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Good communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both spoken and written.

Working Conditions:

• Work in a refrigerated warehouse.
• Must be capable of lifting up to 30 lbs.
• Physical movement required: lifting, twisting, stacking, bending, squatting, reaching, stepping up and down.
