Job summary

Caleres Distribution Center 2 – Chino seeks a Warehouse Associate to uphold efficient daily operations in a fast-paced distribution environment. You will handle inventory transactions, operate forklift equipment, and ensure accurate packing and labeling for outbound shipments.

The role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and adherence to KPIs, with opportunities for cross-training and on-site collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-2 years’ warehouse and forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without an accommodation.
• Experience with Raymond equipment a plus.
• Able to be on feet for the entire shift.
• May be required to work at heights, such as mezzanines, use ladders to fix carton jams.

Responsibilities

• Meets or exceeds Labor standards/KPIs.
• Physically and systematically process inventory transactions by case or pair through the facility.
• Perform processing activities as defined by the work instruction by functional area.
• Operate equipment as required by functional work area (e.g., Carton erector).
• Work at a steady pace and with a sense of urgency.
• Maintain a high attention to detail.
• Pack cartons in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Ensure the correct shipping label is applied to the outbound carton.
• Perform Quality assurance activities as required.
• Perform value add activities as required.
• Assist in resolution of operational issues.
• Communicate operational errors to supervisors.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and implement as best practices.
• Adopt and support changes in policies and procedures.
• Perform training while also participating in cross-training activities.
• Maintain equipment and supply stocks.
• Perform 5S Audit as requested.
• Perform Safety inspections as requested.
• Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Navigate through warehouse on a forklift, safely, to efficiently and effectively obtain items for customer orders

• Able to be on feet for the entire shift.
• May be required to work at heights, such as mezzanines, use ladders to fix carton jams.
• Must be capable of performing basic math.
• Remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
• Must be able to work extended hours or days
